One show a night, and only one
There is a single performance each evening at 20:00, running 60 minutes and finishing at 21:00. There is no matinee, no second sitting and no alternative time, which means the show cannot flex around your day: your entire evening is committed once you book. That single-slot structure is also why the date on an operator-issued ticket cannot be changed after booking — the operator's own checkout states this explicitly. If your plans are unsettled, book through a platform with free cancellation rather than direct, because the operator's own terms give you no room to move.
Tuesday is dark, and this is not negotiable
The park and the show both close on Tuesdays, operating Wednesday through Monday. This is not a seasonal quirk or a maintenance schedule that occasionally slips. It is verifiable at source: on the operator's own booking calendar, Tuesday dates are greyed out and cannot be selected at all, while every other date in the month is live. If your Hoi An itinerary has exactly one free evening and it falls on a Tuesday, the Memories Show is off the table and you should plan a lantern-boat evening in the Ancient Town instead. Why 20:00 is not the time you should arrive
The most common planning error is treating 20:00 as an arrival time. It is a curtain time, and the operator asks you to be in your theatre seat 15 to 20 minutes beforehand. Behind that sits a longer runway: the park opens at 16:00, last admission is an hour and a half before the 22:00 close, and the mini shows fill the late afternoon. One verified reviewer's advice is worth repeating — go into the main theatre as soon as the gates are announced, because groups arriving at the last minute struggled to find seats together within their own tier.
A note on conflicting start times online
You will find sources listing a 19:30 start and a 75-minute running time, including Vietnam's own national tourism website. That information is stale. The operator's current pages, its live booking engine and every major ticket platform all list 20:00 to 21:00 and a duration of one hour. Go with 20:00. That said, start times at this venue have shifted historically and can move with the season, so treat the time printed on your own voucher or e-ticket as authoritative over anything published on a guide page, including this one, and reconfirm on the day if you have a tight connection afterwards.
The exit, and getting away afterwards
Three thousand-odd people leave one island venue within about twenty minutes of 21:00, and it shows. A verified reviewer described the departure as seeming “a bit chaotic,” though noted the coaches cleared quickly and a ride-hailing car was still able to get in. If you have booked a Da Nang shuttle it typically departs around 21:15, so you have very little slack. If you are making your own way, either walk out briskly and order a car once you are clear of the gate crush, or deliberately hang back fifteen minutes and let the coach convoy leave before you order.
